Project Life Week 1 & Title Page

Welcome to another year of Project Life. It's the best way to get a glimpse at what our little family is up to week by week. You can always follow me on instagram (@dnsvm) to see more! I'm really excited to be starting my third year and looking forward to seeing what ends up in our book. It always takes me a couple of weeks to warm up to a new kit and to get my bearings. But, I have to say that so far, I'm loving the Midnight kit and the simplicity of it.

I wanted to share with you my title page. I took some of my favorite photos from 2013 and changed them to black and white. I used the given title page cards from the kit and just spruced up the hello card with number stickers. It made me want to explore using b&w photography more and I love how clean it looks.

Here is the first week. It was a short week and I didn't have a ton of photos to choose from. In fact, most of this week's photos came from Mark who is good to text me various instagrams that he takes.

Left hand side:

I'm playing with using downloaded calendar cards on my headers each week. This one came from Elisejoy. I cut it in half and added it to the header card with a little tag from Ormolu.

Mark texted me a pretty grainy photo of Mia and Grandma playing cards at the coffee shop. Once I changed it to b&w, it worked perfectly esp. with Mia's mysterious look.
I wasn't allowed to add in Mia's pages of her Frozen book directly, but this picture perfectly captured her drawings.

Again, I'm striving to get myself in the book as much as possible. I took this self portrait in the coffee shop and loved the light coming in.

Love this cardstock card that is in the Midnight kit.

Right hand side:

One afternoon while I was gone, Mark texted me this photo with the caption, "Look, I made a earth." The kids were playing with playdough and my sweetie created his own version of earth.
We were lucky to get two kid free days this week and spent on afternoon on a walk.
I snapped a photo of our shadows.

Our house is a pretty big disaster, mostly because of the copious amounts of kids toys everywhere. Little set ups with the toys are pretty common. This one was made by Naomi as she "ate" breakfast.

These Mia photos are from Mark too. The two of them love to play board games together and she's getting old enough to appreciate a visit to the coffee shop.
