Project Life Week 51

I am so close now to the end of the year and I'm already making plans for how to move forward with Project Life in the new year. I love this project and can't wait to do it again. I'll have to admit that for now I don't have any flashy plans. I'm going to be using primarily the Midnight kit and will throw in cards from other kits from time to time. I'm still doing the 12x12 format with Design A page protectors. I will still be doing it weekly with my starting day on Sunday and ending on Saturday. I plan on sharing my pages here on Tuesdays----mostly to help keep me on track and up to date. It's also a good way for family and friends to see pictures of the kids without me needing to do blog posts on them so often.

Keeping up with this project has been one of the most rewarding creative outlets for me and I really believe that it is something that our family will cherish forever. I look forward to the new year and to sharing it with you!

Here's the full spread for week 51:

Close-up on side one:

I wanted to add as many Christmas elements to this week without going too overboard. This tag from Ormolu added a little title to the week and helped fill in that white space!

Mia had a winter piano recital and Mark snapped this photo of her while I stayed home with a sick little one. She played Deck the Halls and rocked it!
I also wanted to add in a note about all the broken ornaments that happened this year. This Toy Story one was a special addition that a friend picked up at Disneyland. It wasn't out of the wrapping more than 5 minutes and it had been dropped and broken into 5 pieces.

We upgraded the twins from toddler beds to twin bunk beds and I snapped a photo of Mark and Hollis taking the old beds down.

Naomi spent the majority of the week sick. One afternoon, while everyone else was at school, I snapped this photo of her resting and playing on my iphone.

Close-up on the second half:

Gingerbread houses were an epic fail for us this year. We couldn't get them to stick together and all three ended up in tears. I did get this photo of Mia before we realized that it just wasn't going to work. Next year, remind me to just decorate gingerbread men instead!!

I love this card from the Holiday kit!

Handy tip: when in doubt of your photo skills, do a little bit of blurring or change to black and white. Then add some sort of embellishment and call it good!

Aunt Susan and Grandma took Mia to see the Nutcracker Ballet and they texted me this photo just before it started! Mia loved seeing the professional dancers and how different it was from her production just two weeks ago.
I hope that this is a tradition they can keep up!

I'll be back in a few days with Week 52 and the wrap up of this book!
Thank you for sticking around this year!
