I wanted to share some of the things that I've been loving lately. Maybe there is something here that you can gift to someone special on your Christmas list!
The London Grammar album is probably my favorite recent musical find. We've been putting it on whenever we need a little quiet and it's amazing how calm and peaceful it makes us all feel. Her vocals are really amazing.
This sweater from Target is warm and super cozy. It's one of those oversized sweaters that you want to live in when it's hovering around the freezing point.
I found the new Vosages Katniss chocolate bars at my local sweet shop and I have to tell you this is one tie in that I can get all over. I loved Catching Fire and this bar is the perfect blend of chocolate and apple and bacon. Yup, bacon. There is a President Snow version that looks pretty tasty too. Wild Ophelia is another chocolate maker that has Hunger Games themed bars. I've bought a few of their bars for my stocking.
As it gets colder and colder here in Colorado, we've been spending more time by the fire. I've been working on this woodland sampler to keep my hands busy. The Frosted Pumpkin has some of the cutest patterns around and are simple enough that just about anyone could tackle them. I like that there are a lot of variations on Instagram too! Search the woodlandsampler hashtag to see all the ways people are making it their own. The gals at Frosted Pumpkin will be debuting the 2014 sampler soon and I'll be buying that one too!
Kate DiCamillo is one of my favorite children's authors and her new book Flora & Ulysses is charming and sweet. DiCamillo isn't afraid to write with large words. She encourages her readers to imagine and explore the world around them with characters that are often awkward and bright. This book combines traditional storytelling with graphic novel elements. Best for a read aloud or for children in third grade or higher. I recommend picking it up at your local bookstore!
There are twelve days left before Christmas. I'm really close to being done, but have been dreaming up some handmade ideas too. What's one of your favorite things your giving for the holidays??
