An I-Spy Quilt for Hendrix

A month ago I participated in an auction to benefit Colorado flood victims. I put up one of my custom made I-Spy quilts and a sweet mama named Kelly won. Her son is named Hendrix and he likes animals, Sesame Street, and vintage TV characters. She also requested guitars since he is named after Jimi. She didn't have a specific color in mind, so I went with green---which is a color I don't get to use too often!

I love it and love even more that all the proceeds went to a family that really needed it.

I used some of the left over scraps to make a pieced back. I love doing backings like this.

I used some of my favorite Zen Chic material for the border and these Jason Yenter dots to help make it pop!

You can order your own custom made I-Spy quilt at my Etsy shop, Bitteshoen. All orders by Nov. 15 will arrive by Christmas!
