Project Life Week 38

For this week's Project Life spread, I went back to the basics and used only the Seafoam kit for all journaling cards. It's really easy to get swept up in the release of kits (new releases, and subscriptions), but I assure you that using the basic kit is just as satisfying. I dress my pages up with cheap washi tape and letter stickers, but really try to not spend money on extras. For me the goal is capturing our day to day moments and the kids don't seem to notice the frills. They just like seeing the pictures of themselves!

Here's the whole week:

Side One:

Yup. His face was that red when I picked the kids up from school on Monday. It was a camp day, meaning a pretty fun, free form day. They let some of the older kids do face painting and Hollis requested Spider-Man. He scared me to death when he came running around the corner.

I woke up one morning to the most vivid sky we'd seen in ages. I snapped a view photos using my iphone. This one is with no filter.

Side Two:

We spent one evening at the park to help the kids get some pre-bed energy out. Mark and Hollis started  game of Zombie vs. Superhero and I snapped a few photos.

She's only 8, but I swear she's going on 15, especially when she comes downstair dressed like this and declares it Teen Beach Movie dance party time.

This candid shot might be my favorite from the week. They were standing in front of a display window at a local grocery. We had gotten haircuts earlier in the day and they were looking extra cute.

Mia really wanted to sew with me this week and so I showed her how to do a scrappy square. She was so proud and is hoping to make enough for a small blanket.

I'm linking up with The Mom Creative for her weekly Project Life share.

I really enjoy seeing your weekly Project Life updates. I print out all of the millions of pictures that I take and put them in black 3-ring binders. Occasionally, I'll pick out a few, put them on pretty scrapbook paper and call it done, because I don't have time for the "traditional" scrap booking anymore. I may have to invest in this Project Life stuff - it seems like a good middle for what I'm already doing. My kids LOVE looking at all of their pictures!

You're more than half way there!! All you have to do is throw in some journaling and you've got it already! I'm a big fan of simple for sure!

I always love the shoe photos. It's like the two-glasses/mugs photos Turbo boy and I do. It's a nice ritual to our nights out!

Also, LOVE the sky photo!
