I'm getting ready to go out of town for my grandfather's memorial service and so my pages were done a couple of days early. When I get back I can start on the next week and not have to worry about catching up. I kept the spread simple again and let the pictures and journaling tell most of the story.
I'm curious to see how the winding down of summer changes Project Life. I'll be going back to work for the first time in three years. The days will get shorter and shorter. Capturing the evolution of our family is one of the best things about keeping this up. Looking back to last year and even 6 months ago is so good for the soul.
Here is the whole week:
I just can't get enough of the orange in the Seafoam kit. I love how bright it makes the pages. I found this Echo Park days of the week card to match.
Mia went with a friend to a local climbing place called Rope World. It's set up throughout the year in a school gym and she loves getting to climb, swing, and tumble throughout the course. This photo was texted to me! I love when other people help capture things for me!
This week we bribed a teenage girl we know to come babysit so we could go to the movies. I had already seen WWZ, but Mark wanted to go and it's definitely good enough to see twice.
The top photo is from Sunday when I was still visiting with family. Naomi had some special time with her cousin Liam. She kept kissing on him and he watched her so carefully. This photo was taken by my sister. I love that she captured their gaze, Naomi's dirty face, and a little bit of me too.
The kids found a young praying mantis this week and passed him back and forth. It creeped me out a little but, but they loved having a new creature to
torment play with.
I added a bulleted list of some of the activities that we did this week. Lists are a great way to sum up the week or add in more details to the events pictured!
I don't have very many photos of me and Naomi together so when my sister sent me this one I was happy. Naomi had just gotten her bangs cut by my SIL and was so proud.
Mark and Mia participated in a local weeknight bike ride with a local organization and he sent me this photo from the start.
We also went to the zoo again this week and so I added in a photo from the entrance and a great photo of Hollis on the carousel. We are making good use of our zoo pass and each time getting to see the animals doing new things. This time we got to see the tapirs, rhinos, and elephants in the water!
On Friday I went for a morning hike and ended up climbing Mt. Sanitas. I had no clue what I was getting myself into and it's probably the hardest hike I've done to date. But, the view from the top was breathtaking!
My sister in law sent me a card this week and so I cut it down and added it in.
Mark sent me this instagram one evening while I was at the gym. It's a common sight around our house lately----the little ones scootering and biking behind Mia.
An instagram friend, Ruthie, sent me a hand embroidered piece this week and I couldn't resist adding the note she wrote into my Project Life page. The vintage paper is darling and hand written notes are such a rarity nowadays!
I'm linking up with The Mom Creative for her weekly share.
