I wanted to share one of my latest quilt projects that has slowly come together over the past few months! It's not 100% finished, but the top is done and it'll go in the pile of quilt tops to finish (hopefully by later this year).
This pattern is called The New Wave Quilt by Elizabeth Hartman.
It's a free pattern and it's so simple to follow. She includes a lot of pictures and a diagram for how to lay it all out. It's really a perfect quilt for a beginner who wants to step out of the square and rectangle based patterns. The hardest part for me was getting the waves to line up. If you look close, it's not perfect, but I'm really happy with how it turned out!
I love quilting with orange fabrics. It makes the sewing table so bright and cheery!
I used some of my favorite Tula Pink, Anna Maria Horner, and Lotta Jansdotter fabric. I added in a few other fabrics to help pull all the colors together.
I'm not sure where this beauty will end up or even how I'm going to quilt it yet, but I'll share it again when it's all the way done!
If you're looking for an easy but beautiful project, check this pattern out! It comes in different sizes and really is a great way to showcase your favorite fabrics!
