Project Life Week 16

As we get further and further into the year I'm reminded of the magic of Project Life. Looking back to the beginning of the year and revisiting the small moments that make up our life is so rewarding. Watching the book start to fill out is such a gift that really takes very little time to put together. Remember, Project Life can be what you want to make it. I don't spend a lot of money on it and I use little free moments throughout the week to put it all together. It's not perfect or over the top "pretty," but it perfectly captures our family.

Here's the whole spread:

This week Mia asked to go spend her allowance and picked out a stuffed horse. She wanted me to take a picture of them together! I print of my instagrams as 3x3 or 4x4 and they fit perfectly into the spread without losing too much of the picture.
I finished another I Spy quilt this week and added a photo of it.
I add my own writing when I can--it's an easy way to add "me" without always adding pictures. I'm also a little bit addicted to my Sharpie paint pens for borders.

Naomi was home most of the week with pink eye and a fever. It was nice to spend some one on one time with her and get a reminder to slow down and be flexible.

Chevron paper is Dear Lizzy. Journaling card is from the old Cherry PL kit.
We also got a pretty big snow storm that made us have to cancel plans. I snapped a few pictures from the front window.

This week Mia had a choir concert and since the theme for the show was "Being Green," I used that color on my embellishments. By the way, you can blur people super easy using the retouch tool in iPhoto. Just remember to duplicate your photo first or remember to revert back to original when done printing.

Green washi, Lily Bee alpha stickers, Martha Stewart labels

I've recommitted myself to working out more and snapped a quick photo before a Zumba class one night. I'm really trying to add in more photos of Mark and I when I can!

Seafoam journaling card.
I found this quote on instagram and just used my slick writer pen to write directly on the photo!

Sometimes, I like to add a recap of the week. There were lots of little things I wanted to make sure I added that didn't necessarily go with the photos. I added a few snapshots from our playground outing too.

I'm linking up with the Mom Creative and her weekly share.

Great pages! Writing directly on the photos always looks so great. I'm going to have to get some of those paint pens.

I love your PL pages. And it's great that you write directly on the photos - I do the same :)
Love the photo of yourself before zumba class. Great spread with a lot of nice little details.

hi, I am one of the other scrappers in the blog hop. I love your pages. Your bath photo is so adorable, what a lovely little one. I really like all of the colors you chose and your winter photos. Not much winter here in NC.
