Here's to another week done and finally feeling my groove more with Project Life. I'm really trying to not worry about what other people are doing and focusing on telling our stories through pictures and texts. It's easy to get caught up in what's popular and pretty for sure.
My goal this week was to not worry too much about Valentine's Day. That's why there's not a huge amount of pink or red!
It's not a holiday we go to gung-ho about and we had no real plans to celebrate. But, as the week went by a few cards showed up and made their way onto the second half of the spread. They ended up being the perfectly understated way to show the holiday.
Mondays and Fridays have become our lazy days. I spend the morning cleaning and the twins spend a good portion of the day in PJs. I snapped a few photos of them having snack with a treat we don't get too often around here---cookies. They were being so funny with sharing them and moving through out the house to have snack. I added a few Martha Stewart tags to the provided Seafoam card and added one of the Studio Calico arrows.
One of our favorite local restaurants is having Stout Month. That means Mark takes us to brunch there pretty frequently. I love that I got a picture of him toasting!
This week I'm heading out for a solo adventure. I bought a few new things for the trip! I've also been making a point to work out at least 3 days a week. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather when I can just walk out the front door at 5:30am and hit the walking path. Until then, I've been using some of my kid-free time to go to the gym.
I worked the glitter tattoo table at Mia's Valentine's party. It was a lot of fun seeing which stencils the kids picked out. My fingers were covered with glitter by the end, but it was a lot of fun!!
Laura Kate had some great printables on her site last week and I loved this one with a Head & the Heart quote. The other card is from a Starbucks coupon that they were giving out.
Hollis has been asking to take rests on our bed. Mark snapped this photo of him reading for me. Poor guy just can't get a break sometimes with two sisters always around.
The red polka dot card is one I found on Pinterest and used for Naomi's Valentine's. The other card is a greeting card from my dad.
Mia had a sleepover with a friend and they asked to do face masks. They declared them the grossest things ever. They were impressed with how soft their skin was once they washed them off.
I added a bigger journaling card to talk about our normal Valentine's day.
I'm linking up with The Mom Creative for her weekly share.
