Project Life Week 52

Well, it's time to say goodbye to my first full year of Project Life! I am so thrilled to have done a whole year and close this year with a whole new excitement for scrapbooking. Seriously, I can't emphasize enough how much I love it. We spent some time last night looking back through and I love seeing all the memories included in our books. I can't wait to start over and see the evolution of our family this year.

This year I used the Clementine kit and ended up with two binders. I am planning on using the Seafoam kit (they aren't out yet), but have started 2013 with the Cobalt kit. I'll order 1 Seafoam binder when they are available again and then reorder a second one mid-year.
My week goes from Sunday-Saturday but I don't do a photo a day or anything like that. I try to focus on favorite moments or photos from the week. I include a lot of iphone photos---usually printed to 3x3. I do print my photos from home (on a Canon Pixma) a few times each week. I've found printing from home is worth the price of ink & paper because I can stay on top of it better.
I don't add a ton of embellishments but love to use a Sharpie paint pen, LillyBee letters and other small letter stickers. Washi tape is helpful for titles and adding other color to the layouts.
Those things are extras though and totally not necessary to doing your own book. The Project Life kit really does come with everything you need!

Here is my last week's spread. Again, nothing fancy. I didn't go into too much detail with Christmas because that's all covered in my December Daily book.

I did add a couple of extra Christmas stickers to the journaling cards.
Mia asked Santa for the McKenna American Girl doll. She was so thrilled to see her under the tree!
She's already got her eyes on the 2013 American Girl doll of the year so I think Santa might have started a bad tradition! LOL!

I used one of the 5x7 horizontal page protectors to add a drawing that Naomi did of a spider.

On the back I included a picture Mia drew of an elf.

Here is the second half of the week:
It included board games with Daddy, Naomi's sweet kisses, and the story of our plumbing emergency that caused me to have to find various ways to get the kids out of the house, like a trip to Target.

Just like at the beginning of our book, it ends with recent photos of us!

Goodbye Project Life (for a few days anyways!), Hello 2013!!
