Life With Twins: Fall Edition

With the warm air and sunlight quickly disappearing, the twins and I have been taking in as much of the outside as possible. Many times that means exploring the creek path that is practically outside our door. I am continually reminded how blessed we are to live here in a quiet (for the most part) town with nature so easily accessible.

We've recently discovered that along the path a local artist has hid statues of faces within the trees. The twins love walking up and down the path finding them all and talking to them. There is the red Grandpa yelling hello, the "Big Momma," the fairy woman, and the kitty cat. Each one gets an excited greeting almost like they are seeing them for the first time. I think I've read that there are more that 20 hidden in the trees and it seems each time we walk we find new ones.

This is a magical time for the twins. On the brink of being 3 and so curious about the world around them. They are headstrong, smart, adventurous. It's amazing to watch them grow and learn and they surprise us everyday with what they know.

I'm still blown away by how quickly the time goes. It's just yesterday they were in the NICU and we were struggling to figure out how to be parents to three kids.
I wouldn't trade this for the world.
