Yikes! I cut it awfully close to finishing this week and found myself again with not a lot of photos of the week. It seems it's taking us some time to get into the new routines of fall and with that comes one tired mama. That's what's so great about Project Life. I don't have to worry too much about it. I spent one afternoon printing out photos and one evening putting it all together. This layout won't win any awards, but it's done and captures the week perfectly.
Here's the first half of the week:
One afternoon I picked up the twins on the bike and they asked to go to the park. They aren't napping and the thought of taking them home for the battle of nap time was too much. We headed instead for the park and it was a beautiful way to spend the afternoon.

Our weekly CSA gave us a pound of plums and I used them to make a strawberry plum freezer jam. I used this recipe. It's quite yummy and make for a great afternoon pick me up!

Mark and Mia went to see the US Women's National Soccer Team play and Mia was so excited. She woke up the next morning talking all about Hope Solo and Abby Wambach. I love that she has some women athletes to look up too!
Here is the second half of the week:
I got a picture of our first winter squash. He's a tiny guy, but I'm so glad we have a few growing in the garden! I also wanted to document the fact that the twins say "Crinkle, Crinkle little star" when we sing our bedtime songs.
We've been cutting back a lot on TV around here and so Saturday night we curled up with a pile of books and magazines and cups of tea. I snapped an instagram of my pile.
Mia spent a good portion of the week fretting over her first big test on the water cycle. We studied, played games, and talked about it whenever we could. She was so proud to come home with a 100%!
