This week is simplicity at it's finest. All I really used was a few Martha Stewart tags, my trusty sharpie paint pen, and alpha stickers. We had a full week and so to not get behind my approach was about getting it done quickly.
Documented on side one of the week is my zucchini muffins which have become a weekly thing thanks to our local CSA. I use this recipe from Simply Recipes. I also took a photo of the book I'm currently reading and the fabric I've been piecing together into a new lap quilt.
This is a simple instagram of my two girls at our Subway lunch date. Mia's been asking to go and it just fit that one day after errands we stopped there. I'm glad that it's getting easier and easier to take the twins out and not have it be more than I can handle.
Good friends of ours have a Montessori school and we've been grateful that they share some of the school's activities with us! One thing I love is that they have been sharing eggs with us from the school's chickens. They offered to give us some caterpillars to raise and this week the butterflies emerged! It was an amazing process to watch and so fun for the kids to have a part in.
For the end of the week and weekend my sister came up with her husband and kids. I always love getting all the cousins together because there is a crazy and busy energy that happens. All the kids run through the house and yard and stay occupied for most of the day. That leaves my sister and I somewhat free to sneak away for shopping breaks, visiting time, and naps. Our house feels pretty quiet without them all here.
My sister took this shot of Mia and Aniyah together at our local pool. I love all that crystal blue space, which was perfect for some letter stickers and a little journaling border.
Since the twins are on a nudist kick, the bigger girls joined in for most of the weekend. They discovered the joy of putting bubbles in the kiddie pool and we didn't mind them getting a much needed outdoor bath!
Mark took my nephew, Anthony, on an early morning hike and they both took a lot of photos. I loved seeing the hike through their eyes. This one, with his smile so big and bright, was my favorite.
Anthony is staying with us for the week and then I head back to my sister's for more family time. I'm sure all of these faces will show up again in next week's spread.
