About midway through the week I only had a handful of pictures printed and ready to go. I wasn't sure I'd have enough to fill in the spaces for the week. I had a brief moment of panic---thinking okay, this is where the shoe drops and I stop doing this project. Then, I went through my iPhone photos and printed a bunch of simple photos like a baby robin in a tree, my window sill with plants all lined up, the paving project in the backyard. We also ended up visiting the local history museum and so I got a lot of pictures from there too. It's funny how that works. Just when I start to worry about how I'm going to finish the week, it all comes together and often in abundance.
We are officially at halfway through the year this week and I still love this project. I mean really love it. I've said it a lot, but I can't imagine documenting our life in any other way. I'm already starting to plan for the next year and thinking of trying out one of the other designs.
Here is side one of the week:
It's hard for you to see the picture of the first little robin who sprang from this nest.
The other three quickly flew out over the course of the day. I am so glad that I was able to watch two nests grow and nurture a total of 7 baby birds.
I didn't take a lot of pictures while my mom was visiting. We spent a lot of time working in the yard and craft room. But, I did snap this perfect one of all of them reading together.
I did make an insert for our visit to the museum. I cut down a design A page protector and simply slipped the pictures in. There are no frills at all and I'm okay with that!
I tried to think of what to do on the back of the insert tab and couldn't think of a thing. And so, it's blank and for now I'm okay with that!
Here is side two of the week.
One evening, after we had put the twins down for the night, Mark and Mia took a bike ride to the local brewing pub. Mia got a root beer and they played games together. It's one of Mia's favorite ways to spend time with her Daddy!
Mark sent me an iPhone photo that he took of their shadows. I printed it to a 3x3 and added it to one of the journaling cards.
I started a project of laying paving stones in the side yard. It'll be a long way until it's done, but this little corner turned out so good!
So another week down and I'm already well into preparing for next week's layout.
